The Manby violin company sold violins that had been modified with a patented incised fingerboard (somewhat like frets).

Many Manby violins have had the fingerboard swapped out, however this Manby violin still has its original incised fingerboard.

This special fingerboard is helpful for violin students to learn finger positions and shifting.

This violin was crafted in the early 1900’s and is in excellent working condition, with slight bubbling of the varnish which gives the violin a beautifully vintage look.
